hey guys welcome back to our repair guys
thank you guys for watching and
subscribing to the channel in today's
video guys will be working here on a
vehicle guys okay and what we'll be
doing guys it will relate to any car
okay not just Mazda not just BMW any car
guys if you have the parking brake light
on okay all the time this is for your
handbrake also known as the pedal brake
on SUVs that guys light stays on for a
certain reason we explain what causes
that most cases guys okay in most cases
it's a simple fix in other cases you
have to replace the whole assembly and
we will explain all that today will
demonstrate on this Mazda but you all
relate to any car now we'll guys have
more than 200 videos on any car we get
at the shop because our mission is to
save you guys as much money as we can so
please subscribe to the channel like the
video leave a comment below let us know
if that video was helpful and if you
helped you save solve your problem so
let's start on it now so we'll be
working on 2010 Mazda cx-7 here guys and
there are two type of Hanbridge to that
okay first one is a handbag that you
just pull with your hand okay looks like
a Hindu usually will be by the center
console and the second kind is the one
with the brake pattern okay like this
one so most of the SUVs guys have this
one most of the cars have the one on the
side okay like the one that you pour so
doesn't matter which one you poo the
problem will be the same for both of
them so okay
let me explain to you guys okay what's
happening now here I'm going to go
inside the car okay and I want to show
you guys okay our okay our brake light
will be on okay as you can see that
bright light just stays on guys no
matter what we do it stays on so I'm
going to go ahead and show me now okay
what I'll be doing
okay you can see this is the brake pedal
okay guys it's released now okay it's a
good list all the way you can see it's
the one that you push on and push off
and if we come guys right here you can
see brake light is still on guys
so let me go ahead they're going to cut
off and our explain guys what causes
that now the same reason will be for
cars with the handbrake
okay right here and not the one on the
brake pedal so now if we come guys right
here on every handbrake you will have
guys a cable that will pull the brakes
this is heavy-duty cable you can see the
thing on the back okay this is your
cable and when you press the pedal
you're going to hear the clip guys okay
this will up click now okay that click
is a little bitty switch that activates
when the brake pedal is pressed
now that's which guys sometimes will go
back okay and the switch I'm talking
about okay usually it's somewhere there
and this one is on top okay right there
this is our switch that's what's causing
that so in some cases guys which is
replaceable
in our cases you have to buy the whole
brake power assembly okay the whole
thing and if you place it with the
switch for instance on like sadie's I
used to buy the whole back part of the
weak spot on the ML Class in the past
the fourth generation so it was really
hard to find a switch or we had to do
just buy the whole assembly now what I
found guys okay what I'll do here never
ever do it I'll just do it for
demonstration purposes here in the video
just for fun but to never have a do it
because it's going to deactivate the
light on most cars not all of them but
most you press on the wire pull it out
okay you can see the wire from the back
Parros switch them over hand brake
switch is disconnected no gas
if I go ahead and start with caramel
okay if I start the car brake light okay
we will not be on anymore and if I press
down it's not even working but that's
not safe guys never ever do that okay
fix it the correct way don't be cheap
guys because if you drive with a packing
bag on you can wear out your hockey your
pads you can get in an accident because
let's say it's slippery the parking pad
is on and hungry certain conditions may
make your rear end slide so be very
careful guys fix it the correct way now
if you have the handbrake it will be the
same thing you have one switch you might
need to take the same tank also apart
here and there so you can get to it but
that's how you guys do we thank for
watching see you guys next time
