is darker than the rest of your body

not doing

so let's get on with today's video are
you like me
and you you're wondering why your
facial skin is darker than the rest of
your body
like are you wondering what exactly are
you doing wrong or what exactly
are you not doing that makes you have
this thing this issue
well ask no more ask no further
you've come to the right place because
i've had that issue for the longest time
like
as far as i can remember my face has
always been considerably darker than my
body i'm not even talking like a shade
or or less no i like up to two to three
shades darker like
my face belongs to another person and my
body belonged to another person who
was crazy so yeah along the way i've
discovered a few things that i was doing
wrong
and a few things that i failed to do
that country
contributed to this so without further
ado
let me share with you guys what i
discovered for myself
and hopefully this helps you as well so
number one i think this is to me it's
the most important
especially to me because it's something
i was always doing before
number one is please stop scrubbing your
face stop
scrubbing your face when you're having
your bath don't use a sponge
don't use a washcloth don't use those
glove thingies don't
don't use anything really stop scrubbing
your face when you're having a bath or
when you're washing your face
soap and water is fine just soap on
water honestly just rub soap on your
hands
and use it on your face you can do it as
many times as you want to make sure that
it's actually very clean
but no matter what you do don't scrub
what i do i
usually use an oil cleanser first no
simple oil you can use coconut oil if
coconut oil is good for your skin
or you could use argan oil i think argan
oil is the best
there's also jojoba is a jojoba oil
that's also good for the skin
so what i use i have argan oil in my
bathroom so anytime i'm having a bath
i will first of all wash my face first
then dry it
and use argan oil massage it into my
face
and after massaging into my face i'll
wash it once again
so my it leaves my face feeling really
really clean
so instead of scrubbing my face when i'm
having a bath this is what i do
i i use oil
and i wash my face twice so a point
number two
when you're drying your face don't rub
with a towel
instead just pat dry and use a separate
towel for your face
and a separator for the rest of your
body just because the skin of the face
is more sensitive
and it's more susceptible to infections
and what not
so your facial toes should be different
it should be softer it might be like
less absorbent but it should be softer
so as not to irritate the skin and pat
dry gently pat dry you could even air
dry honestly because
it's just the face you can leave your
face to air dry you can clean
the rest of your body with a towel
so taking us to step number three
step number three is chemical exfoliants
since you're not scrubbing your face
when you're having your bath your
facial skin still needs to renew itself
it's still
you still need to get rid of the dead
outer layers of your skin
and by not doing that it might
contribute to the
dull appearance of your skin so what i
learnt was chemical exfoliation mild
chemical exfoliation is
key like use a very mild salicylic acid
or glycolic acetone i currently use both
salicylic acid and glycolic acid i have
a video up on that
so i'll put the link in the description
box so yeah
mild chemical exfoliation i do it every
evening
every single evening and um using the
same principles of
when you're wiping your face i don't
rub it i use a cotton pad very soft
cotton but i don't rub it
on my face vigorously no i just
because my face is already clean because
of the oil i massage into my face when
i'm having my bath when i'm washing my
face at the end of the day
so i just gently apply it with the
cotton
pads you could even pour it in your
hands and
apply it like a lotion but i don't know
i'm just too used to using a cotton pad
so yes i use a cotton pad gently
i mix my glycolic acid and salicylic
acetone and
yeah i do this every day so that takes
us to point
number four point number four is i think
it's like an extension of point number
one and two but i need to give this
separate emphasis because it's something
that's really common
and i especially growing up i saw this a
lot
physical exfoliants all these sugar
scrubs
salt scrubs apricot scrubs yeah they
smell so nice they feel so good but
they're not doing good for your facial
skin honestly
physical exfoliation might be good for
you the rest of your body
especially like problematic areas like
the knees
places that are prone to getting ashy
like your feet
but you see the sensitive part of your
skin please don't physically exfoliate
it's better to
chemically exfoliate because i remember
when i was
physically exfoliating my face i bought
this apricot scrub thingy i was feeling
fly with myself i think i was about
i was in my teens anyway my breakouts
were
bad because um physical exfoliants they
caused this thing called
micro tears so microwaves here is like
as you're scrubbing your skin
like nothing just feels that experience
even a sponge okay well this one is a
physical experience
but it's like sponge facial facial
scrubs
as you're applying them you're feeling
good you're feeling clean
it just feels therapeutic yes and you
will not feel the effects
of these micro tears right immediately
but the more you apply them on your face
the worse it becomes you don't see it
you don't feel it but when it wants to
recover
you will know your breakouts will be
terrible
because like imagine your face having
little little tears everywhere
bacteria can come in and then once
bacteria come in comes in you know what
that causes it causes acne
and then the inflammation and then post
inflammatory scars and hyperpigmentation
good lord just
cut it if you have anything like facial
scrubs
or facial sponge please i think you
should just
maybe convert it for use on the rest of
your body
or just throw it away because it's not
doing
good for you honest it will cause you
acne
it will cause uneven skin tone just nice
knots i think it's like old technology
new technology is chemical exfoliants
so that takes us to point number five
point number five is your makeup
should have some sort of sun protective
factor
like the foundation i currently use has
spf 30
which is really really good it's not
oily it's not greasy it's
a matte foundation
and it has sun protection factor 30. so
just try and
incorporate makeup products that have
spf so that your skin your facial skin
is protected
some way some way really you just need
to try
protect it some way from the harsh
effects of the sun the next step is
moisturize i mean
moisturize moisturize moisturize you
know you might be
suffering from dull uneven skin and
you're thinking that it's
a pigmentation issue it might not
actually be a pigmentation issue it
might be a
dead dull dry skin issue so when you
moisturize because
if you notice let's say your
knees or your elbows are looking weird
dull ashy
once you just apply moisturizer and you
just you're
intentional and persistent about
moisturizing
you'll notice that the skin plumps up it
looks
healthier it looks fuller plumper
brighter so it might actually be a
moisture issue
try and moisturize moisturize every
every day twice a day
in the morning when you have your
bathroom moisturized in the evening
once you're back from wherever and
you're having your bath you moisturize
moisture is key the next step is avoid
sun exposure
to the face at all costs the facial skin
my
facial skin especially i know that it
turns faster
way faster on astronomical levels
astronomically faster than the rest of
my body
so if i'm out in the sun for like 20
minutes
i kid you not my facial skin will
darken like two shades i'm not even
kidding i wish i had pictures to show
you guys but
i've not really i didn't take pictures
of when it was like really bad
but it's just 20 30 minutes in the sun
and my
skin my facial skin is like two shades
darker
so please protect your facial skin
from sun exposure at all costs
especially direct sunlight when you're
going out to wear a hat
wear your hair down wear
sun protection factor i know it's not
that easy especially if you live in a
hot
and humid climate like i do i've
genuinely tried using
sun block for my face even for my body
but once i go outside it doesn't last
two minutes honestly i just sweat it all
out so there's no points
of me wearing some blocky if it's just
going to sweat or sweat out and i'll end
up looking like a wax stick
or a wax figure end up looking
ridiculous so
yeah i
currently use a serum from the ordinary
it has niacinamide and zinc
they are both sun protection ingredients
in some type of way even if it's very
little
i know it has like one percent sink
which isn't really much but at least
it's something
it protects the skin some way somehow so
just try
wear a hat where your hair down avoid
direct sunlight on your face
wear sun protection factor of any kind
that suits you that you're most
comfortable
comfortable with and that takes us to
the next step
your makeup products should include
some sort of scpf
your powders your foundations your
concealers
those um makeup products that you apply
on your entire face
they should have sun protector and
factor like the foundation i currently
use has spf 30
so as i do not wear sunblock um
and i really don't wear makeup every day
but when i do i know that my face is
protected from the sun because of the
spf 30 in my foundation
so yeah and that takes us to the next
step include
skin brightening ingredients in your
skincare routine
notes i didn't say skin lightening i
didn't say skin bleaching because that
will even worsen your case it will make
your skin
but so no not skin bleaching not skin
lightening skin brightening ingredients
like we have the vitamin e vitamin
b vitamin c that's ascorbic acid
yeah and a few other ingredients that
brighten the skin
that's renew the skin i think retinol
also is really good
but when you're using retinol please
avoid sunlight
exposure at all costs so these
ingredients they
aid in brightening the skin help with
your complexion issues they make the
skin even
and make it look youthful and fresher
so yes includes those kind of
ingredients in your skincare routine and
watch your skin transform
and that takes us to the final step the
final step is please love the skin that
you're in
if you're looking for perfect
perfectly even skin and you've never
really really had it you know
not everyone is going to be blessed with
that flawless skin even without trying
i'm i think i'm one of those people
because i look at like some of my
friends i'm like now wow
you don't you do not fret about your
skin what
cream do you use what soaps you use they
just use
random products oh yeah their skin is
still flawless
but mine has never really been and i've
kind of come to terms with it so what
i'm going to do i'm going to do my best
use the best products i can find use the
most compatible product for me
and i know that my skin has greatly
improved because
currently my skin tone is
more even the difference between my face
and the rest of my body is like
i say half a shade because it was really
really bad it was up to there's like a
two to three shade
difference so currently it's just like
half a shade
so i've kind of come to terms with the
fact that it's never going to be
or it might never be perfect
but i know how bad it was and how far
i've come
don't go damaging your skin looking for
the perfect complexion
because not everyone is going to be
blessed with perfectly 100 even skin i
know there are some people that they do
not even
make any efforts in their skincare
routine but their skin is still
ridiculously flawless
and me that i use like 20 different
products
every single day on my skin i still
struggle
so i kind of come to terms with the fact
that i might
not get 100 perfect skin
but at least i try try your best of
course
be as intentional and persistent
as you can with your skincare routine
and you're going to see changes
but wherever those changes stop please
learn to love it
