have today's topic is informed delivery
we have had many people reaching out to
us with issues they are experiencing
with informed delivery so here are five
top issues people are experiencing and
how to fix them number one there was a
change of address this is by far one of
the most common issues people have once
they have moved to a new address if you
are planning on moving or have moved
already and still want to get informed
delivery notifications you will need to
first complete a change of address

keep in mind that completing a change of
address does not guarantee that the new
address is eligible for informed
delivery notifications make sure your
address is within a participating zip
code location
number two you can't sign into your
inform delivery account if you are
having trouble signing into your inform
delivery account you are either entering
a wrong username or a wrong password in
some cases
it is possible you are adding in the
proper login information and that there
is some error with the usps website to
fix this all you need to do is head over
to the login page of inform delivery and
click on forgot my username or forgot my
password depending on which info it is
you're missing they will then send you
an email with a link to reset your
username and password and you're off to
the races
number three inform delivery is not
reporting an accurate number of mail or
packages for delivery okay let's explain
some informed delivery users have been
complaining about informed delivery over
estimating the number of mail items that
will be delivered or underestimating
that number
most commonly this is not an informed
delivery issue but rather just a delay
on behalf of the usps carrier to deliver
a particular mail or package for example
if in form delivery saying you should
receive five packages today and you only
get three it is possible that the
remaining two will come in tomorrow
similarly if informed delivery is saying
you should receive five packages today
but you get more than five it's possible
there are main items that were not
delivered on time earlier in the week if
there is a package or mail item that you
have been waiting for and is not
arriving at your address for days to
come i would recommend three options to
that
head over to the usps tracking and add
in your tracking number submit a missing
mail search request or call usps
customer support line at
this one 800-275-8777 be tricky because
it may involve your phone carrier our
best recommendation would be that you
try another phone number
give it up to a few hours and if that
still does not work then select the
option to receive a postcard which
includes a confirmation code it will be
sent within three business days to your
address at no cost while first-class
mail if you can't wait a few days to get
the postcard call your local post office
branch and see if they provide identity
verification services if they do you can
simply visit the post office and verify
your identity in person just make sure
you have two forms of id with you as
well as a couple recent utility bills to
verify your address
number five no images of your mail items
are showing up in informed delivery if
you are not seeing images of your mail
and packages in your account it is
possible the mail piece you receive is
just larger than the standard size of an
envelope usps inform delivery
unfortunately does not offer this image
service for larger mail pieces currently
so you will only get a notification that
you will be receiving some mail item but
you will not have a preview image
uploaded into your account
bonus reason you're not getting your
daily digest email notifications okay we
saved the best for the last some users
have been complaining about not getting
daily digest emails for days and even
months there are several reasons why
this may be happening and honestly the
easiest way to fix this is to simply add
into a new email address for the inform
delivery notifications go to your inform
delivery account add in your new email
address and make sure to hit save you
should receive mail notifications
without a hitch from there
give it up to three business days and if
that does not work just call uncle sam's
postal service at 1-800-275-8777
