the top of your hair is straight but the
sides
and the back are wavy or curly and
you're trying to figure out why
that happens well i'm going to explain
that in this video
so the sides and the back of the hair
traditionally on most human beings is
the thickest
of on the entire head meaning that the
hair will always be thicker
in through this area in this area that's
why when you see people who
you know are balding or losing their
hair the top
goes and the size and the back stay
because that's where it's most dense
and you just simply don't really lose
hair in those areas
you're losing it on the top all right so
technically i guess the hair is a bit of
a different type of structure
as compared to the sides and that's why
your hair will be a little bit flatter
on top
and a bit more wavy it also depends on
the haircut that you have
if you have hair on top that's really
really long
and it comes down and lays over this
or it's really long here and this is
much more layered and shorter
chances are that you're just getting
because the hair texture is so different
and this is so heavy and it's weighing
down the top
because of the length it's just simply
laying a lot flatter
if you were to cut this to match the
sides
and you were to scrunch it and style it
the same way
chances are it's going to be a lot more
balanced and a lot more even
all right keep it keep in mind also that
the hair
growth pattern is different some people
have
a growth pattern on the sides where the
entire
hair shaft right it grows out from the
head going
forward and then the other side could be
going backwards so it could be like
like this this could be going a bit more
upwards or straight down whereas the
other side can be going back
so the hair pattern the hair growth
pattern is different
for everybody so you may be having a
growth
a hair growth pattern that naturally is
causing to hit the hair to be a bit more
full more wavy have a lot more texture
and then simply on the top of your head
the hair could be a lot finer okay it
could be
a lot longer because of the simply
because the haircut or style you have
it's not cut properly meaning there's
like not really any layers into it it's
unbalanced
so there's a number of reasons why the
top is laying you know a lot flatter and
straighter
and this is a lot curlier and fuller
if you do want to balance it out and you
do want to have kind of an even texture
again
what you need to do is you need to take
a look at the
haircut itself you may be having a very
unbalanced haircut
you know maybe what you need to do is
take down the sides a lot shorter
and then take down the top a lot shorter
or
you go with much more of a disconnected
look where this is cut very very short
and you have somewhat of an undercut
right doesn't mean that you have to have
this like
shave like this you can have a
disconnection
and it's just not that short it could be
like a number three guard or a four
guard
and that may actually tame down and cut
out the curl or the wave
so that the sides and the back look a
lot straighter and more matched up to
this
if you like the curl throughout the
sides throughout the back
and you want that on top you're probably
going to have to layer the top and cut
it almost a little bit shorter
and then style it differently and start
to scrunch the hair maybe try you know
my sea salt
spray the tidal wave or the sea salt
crafted paste or
you know a product to help kind of
scrunch the hair and get a lot more
texture again if the hair is not moving
around it's simply because
it's not cut right that's really what it
comes down to it and also you may not
have the right texture for it
so let me know if you've had this
problem if you've come across it if you
